        Seems to me that the larger problem here is that Australia has (allegedly) 20,000 registered child sex offenders who are roaming free and not behind bars!!!??? @ads_b #auspol #justice

        Another issue for Australia to consider. Justice minister revealed earlier this year that fewer than 60% of convicted child sex offenders in Australia serve prison time.

        Ouch. I imagine there is probably some research done somewhere (US?) into how likely this kind of offense is to be repeated. It must take a certain mindset, rather than a whim, to walk in that direction.

        They are barred from leaving to stop child sex tourism. Australian pedophiles travel to developing countries to exploit lax laws and harm vulnerable kids. Good idea because I think we have a duty of care for all children, not just our own..
