Confederate flag photos, an apparently fake GoFundMe campaign. The story of a bullied child took some twists and turns.http://nyti.ms/2AOepaL

This child needs help, not money. He needs guidance. He needs some positivity, to be taught right from wrong and consequences for actions. Athletes, actors, musicians... where are the counselors? Someone step up and get this kid help. Knowledge is power.

Compassion for someone who is hurting, such as that boy obviously was, is never wrong. Bullying is wrong and that point should not be lost amidst the mess this boy’s mother created with her choices. #BullyingIsNotOk

Best way to resolve this is to show the faces of the kids picking on him. Let the others kids serve justice.Old fashion way to deal with it

Except they are minors. And minors can make mistakes without national embarrassment.

Is this really the best you can do @nytimes ? How about some investigative reporting? So many unanswered questions and you choose to just regurgitate? Lame.

Dear Alabama, #Keaton this is evidence that minorities are quick to defend & protect children. Meantime, the Alabama Evangelicals are struggling with a vote for an accused child predator or democrat. 🤦🏻‍♀️ #AlabamaSenate #AlabamaElection #AlabamaVote #AlabamaSenateRace

Here's a thought... perhaps dealing with emotions, feelings of inadequacy and shame should be handled by psychological professionals and parents rather than social media. Additionally, problems at school should be handled by parents and administration.

So he went around calling kids racial slurs and they clapped back about his face seems like a fair exchange

Bullies come in many shapes and sizes. I applaud Keaton for his bravery and am disgusted with those that use his video as a chance to defraud others of money and time. Stay strong kid!

Its pretty sad when children are brought into this sad mess we have made of life. Pathos, and sick cynicism don't mix well. Being bullied is a horrible experience, and we need kids to have the courage to speak up against it.

They shouldn't see a dime of that gofundme money. Sucks Keaton was born into a racist, trailer park family and that he'll continue to bully minority kids himself.
