Some consumers are finding they can get a better deal on prescription drugs by leaving their insurance cards at homehttp://nyti.ms/2BQTCCp

My pharmacist has let us know when this is an issue and given us the best price. It is not a scandal. As a consumer, we should be asking questions and be aware that we can shop around. That was part of the push of the health care system - not one payer but a free market

It is incredibly insane how bad the insurance is being forced on the American people. You can thank both democrats and republicans for continuing to do harm to the American people.

Even better than GoodRX or Blink? Find an independent pharmacy who will be your advocate and always will find you better prices!

Completely true. Wife's rx through insurance was $155 per month. Through GoodRX, we got it for $90, and that will drop to $35 once we get it filled at Costco vs. CVS.

Goodrx is BS...your drugstore is just giving you the cash price.

The cash price? That is ridiculous. If it was the cash price, why was the insurance $50 higher? I know what the cash price of this medication is. GoodRX saved us money.

Check around. Plus, most pharmacys will tell you goodrx is worthless. And YES , cash price. Do your homework

I have checked around. Im not going to argue with you. I know how much the cash price is. I know how much the insurance price is. And I know how much the GoodRX price is. Since you have no idea what the rx even is, you're talking out of your ass.

Goodrx only compares prices. I have 2 scrips that cost $45 insurance co-pay each. Cash price (w/o insurance) is $22 for one, $26 for the other. Goodrx tells you exactly that. I don't claim to understand why and it's not for all scripts. Dont call me names if u don't get it either

But I do get it. I know it works for us. For you to come out and say there is no value to it is just plain wrong. It saves us money. It might save others money. To each their own.

In Australia I pay $19.95 for one month supply of generic Crestor. It's less for pensioners.

My inhaler is $1.47 without insurance at CVS. With my insurance it is a flat $3. But every time I want to NOT have it on my insurance, I have to call ahead and request it is out of pocket. It's dumb.

It's not a "lie"! Nobody is obligated to use their insurance. My pharmacist always tells me if my prescriptions are cheaper with or without using my insurance.

Probably should have mentioned some history on PBM in this article. Idiots will blame Obama even though PBM’s have been around for decades and went crazy around 2002.
