my son Michael was 6 yo when diagnosed with aggressive non-hodgkin's lymphoma. He lived for 6 months. In those 6 months I saw in him and other children facing grave illnesses the very best in humanity-courage, compassion, kindness, strength, and love. Heroes.

Natalie has a progressively deforming genetic bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta type 6. She has titanium rods in both legs, but it was her courage that has allowed her to learn to walk at age 3.pic.twitter.com/EMnQ402e5k
