I was physically shaking watching that video & in tears by the end of it. Nothing terrorise more than legal terrorism. America is empowering its law enforcement too much. This must be balanced by stringent safeguards, as we have here. Awful!

I read a comment from an ex soldier who had been to combat and he said that even in the field of battle they would not have been able to shoot in that circumstance.

True...in the military soldiers are trained to obey & follow strict rules of engagement....with cops....NOT so much!

That's usually the next step. The cop won't pay it though, the city's taxpayers will. Laws need to change so murdeous and brutal cops are accountable for their actions.

I think the cop should be on the hook for it first then govmt. That would deter others from behaving that way.

Sometimes, it's not what you say, it's HOW you say it. All of that yelling and screaming made me frustrated just by watching the video, so I can only imagine how this guy felt in the moment.

This is why police officers are distrusted. I need someone in law enforcement to explain why 5 shots from an automatic weapon were needed to manage this situation. I hope family gets every $ they sue for. And this cop needs to go to jail.

This poor guy was visibly shaken and in fear for his life. Find yourself in a similar situation and see how well you can follow orders. When I’m nervous I put my hands in my pockets over and over again. I don’t think that means I should be murdered with an assault rifle.
