Someone left their horses there? Wow.

The fire overwhelmed a thoroughbred training center that had about 400 horses. They got as many out as they could with trailers, etc and then just had to basically let the rest go free because time ran out.
-
OMG. That's so sad. They had to know it was coming. They should have brought in a semi with a trailer. That's horrible.
-
Read San Diego news, fire started at intersection of interstate/Hwy 4 miles from training center. No time to evacuate over 450 racehorses as fire cut off entry to center.
-
I am just heartbroken. I cannot wrap my heart or head around those angels dying like that.
-
The winds were between 80 and 90 mph. The fire was on top of the whole neighborhood before the first 911 call went out
-
Just heartbreaking

As someone who was recently evacutated from their home due to wildfire I can confirm that a wind change will bring the fire to you 0 warning

There was plenty of warning from authorities owners failed to protect these
#Horses no emergency plan no evacuation plan#Negligence

-
Not true at all. There were plans in place but no one ever expected 80-90 mph winds. The whole neighborhood was up in flames before the first 911 call went out.
-
Truth is that
#fire burns quicker when the wind is a factor warnings were reported since Tuesday#Noexcuses should’ve had an emergency plan
-
Again, you haven’t a clue as well, if they took that precaution they’d be moving them every other week out here. Have you ever lived in California? We get coastal winds up and down the west coast. They very between 0-70 mph all the time and go up and down several times a day
-
Especially with the canyons, ridges, valleys and mountains

Owners have plenty of time to move their horses!

Stop making excuses for such
#Negligence & changes must be made to prevent such tragedies in the future#evacuationplans#EmergencyPlans

-
You obviously have no clue! I’m guessing you think Mother Nature doesn’t exist along with climate change! The only reason you take issue is because you have a thing against horse racing. This would have happened even if it was a farm or regular horse ranch.
-
You obviously don’t know who I’m..So stop with the excuses. Owners must take
#Accountability for their failures to protect these#Horses

-
I don’t care who you are. These aren’t excuses. You are just uneducated in the situation and all the factors at hand. That’s ok though because I don’t expect you to do. People nearly lost their lives because of the fire jumping them as well. Two are in induced comas.
-
You went from saying that I’m against
#Horse racing to being uneducated on the matter to blaming#MotherNature just stop it#accountability
