Why can’t India, which has made strides fighting poverty and aspires to be a superpower, get a handle on pollution?http://nyti.ms/2kF84dn

Look. It didn't just happen overnight here either in North America. We have been making strides. They will too. The caste system persists and that is number one reason. Until they get rid of that ugly system they will never grow into the democracy they envision.

Believe me it's their vision for the future. We here, the outside observers should not interfere. India has grasped the concept of democracy. They will deal with democracy their own way. Sit back. Enjoy the view.

Because the citizens of India who are equally responsible for this pollution just don’t care. They don’t take responsibility and keep doing what they have to do.

Stubble burning is one reason and excessive use of fuel the other. Both can be controlled For preventing stubble burning best us to make farmers agree to sell their biomass at reasonable price and then biomass briquetting plants set up in major villages Promote use of E Cycles
