Don’t’t rely on public schools to teach your children to read. Seriously, what do you expect from California?

Agreed. Schools are there only to indoctrinate our kids. Reading, math etc are parental responsiblity.

Perhaps the parents of California bear some of the responsibility for this issue?

Sanctuary Schools are flooded with children who don't speak English and English isn't spoken at home. Teachers have to put their effort into those kids and English speaking children are neglected

A public school system designed for a time when 100% of the students spoke English as a first language will obviously struggle in a state where 22% are enrolled in ESL Programs #RealityCheck

B/c most probably don’t have parents, most r probably drugged to keep them still, no one reads to them. When r we going to wake up & go back to families? Children thrive with Mom& Dad & intact home life. Of course, parents have to work, be responsible, u know old school!
