Minutes before NYT published the first allegations about Weinstein this fall, he called the reporters who wrote it. He said he had ways of knowing who had cooperated with the investigation and the means to undermine it. "I am a man who has great resources”http://nyti.ms/2yZqhFK

I don't think it is just Weinstein. He was able to get away with it for so long because he was threatening to ruin someone's life if they talked. What can victims who are just starting out in their careers do to fight the millions in legal fees he can throw up in defense?...

That's why the current climate now is good for victims of these horrible people can finally come forward, they are finally able to speak out against them without having their lives destroyed for daring to defend themselves.

The irony is what part destroys ones life? The act? The cover up? The retelling what happened? Sad situation. what’s messed up is that it’s surrounded by money and fame. #knowyourworth #itsnotyourfault

Personally I believe when people are able to talk about their abuse is when they can start to recover. The abuse and holding it in, needing to remain silent, where it festers in your mind scaring you. It's great to see these victims who were silenced finally given a voice.
