He has every right, to refuse anyone ,anything...surely this is a basic freedom . regardless of the reasons , we all enjoy?

If so, then you could also make different prices for different people? No you can not do that in both cases, it does not belong to entrepreneurial freedom!
-
Id rather have the freedom to choose , than be made to make choices i don't want too...
-
You could, for example, use your freedom to do us all a favor and move to Saudi Arabia, where they share similar views to yours. Both countries would be better off.

Colorado baker with stance against baking cake for gay couple, yet supports a POTUS who stands & supports with a child molester! Such great religious principles.

You realize that if it were a Christian that was refused service by a Muslim bakery, they would be screaming bloody murder

How is this at the supreme Court? Surely there are other cake shops in Colorado. Soooo you want the court to force him to take your money? Pfff
-
Law says you cannot refuse service service to protected classes. It’s like saying I don’t want to bake cakes for black weddings or handicap weddings.
-
So arrest him if that's actually true, otherwise vote with Ur $$ and spend it elsewhere, don't give him Ur business, move on

Stupid for refusing to make the cake but surely it’s his choice? Would you want him to make the cake once you knew his beliefs? Don’t know how disputes like this end up in court!
-
I don't know if it's as simple as being "his choice". Business owners clung to that backwards idea in the segregated South not that long ago. Why should this couple have to always go find gay-friendly businesses? That's not equality.
-
I’m not sure it’s illegal yet. The civil rights act does not account for same sex couples and the revised equality act which does ban discrimination based on sex is still to be passed. Still disagree with not baking the cake but it was his choice.

Will be watching this closely. Does this man ask M/F couples if they have been having premarital sex? If they used birth control? If she has ever had an abortion? If they had ever looked at porn? All equally in violation of his beliefs but he still makes them cakes.
-
Well put! Check this out
@oldsongsnew . It's not denying to make just one cake. If not checked, where does it stop? It's a public, for profit business. - 2 more replies

He could have explained he’s unavailable for that date and recommended them to a different baker, but he chose to be a sanctimonious asshole and shove his religion into their faces. Honestly, what is wrong with people??
-
What's wrong with people that sue and can't just go to another bakery? Instead they try to ruin peoples lives. You can't force people to agree with what you are doing
