Black children in the U.S. are more segregated today than they were a half century ago, @nhannahjones reported in September http://nyti.ms/2AkEJLb  This was one of our most popular stories on Twitter this year.

I’m working on this. We know how to individually navigate white people as the gatekeepers to resources. How do we do it collectively.

I think this depends on where one lives. My white children went to school and made friends with black children growing up. #ijs

Come write a paper on what happened in east baton rouge schools....... if your interested in this topic. The cycle of poverty is vicious but when young women and men are raised to depend on the system it becomes like the matrix.. i see it every day because i work the trenches.

I work the trenches as well and it is dishonest to suggest that those in poverty are raised to depend on the system, when the system is failing them
