The U.S. Senate passed the most sweeping tax rewrite in decades. The new Republican tax plan affects families, small business owners and multinational corporations, with the biggest benefits flowing to the highest-earning Americans.http://nyti.ms/2AlukPF

The GOP have destroyed our country in the dead of night passing a bill that caters to the superrich and special interests. Remember this when you lose your job and your health care and your home. At least Trump got a tax cut.

If you think the ACA was passed as a fly by in the middle of the night you need to educate yourself. You're the the idiot reason the GOP passed this #TaxScamBill

The ACA was written to try to destroy the Constitution & usher in Socialism. What has the government ever accomplished better, cheaper, faster than the private sector? At what point are you willing to give 80% of your earnings to government? Example:Venezuela

"I pay your salary" is among some of the trashiest rhetoric out there. Why not say...you represent me, the people...do better.

I agree with you when it comes to government officials -- their job is to represent us. However, when it comes to private institutions such as private media, they really are beholden to their contributors.

But I agree with you inasmuch as: they are beholden to their contributors to do fair and honest reporting; not to tell the exact narrative their contributors want to hear.

In other words: I'm not paying them to call this a "loss" either. I'm paying them to just be objective and tell the news.

Most democrats haven't even read the bill because there was a concerted effort to ensure no one outside of party read it. Indicting evidence in and of itself.

Either you read it after the vote or you're lying, because it wasn't available to anyone outside of the committee that wrote it until shortly before the vote. Oh, or you're a timetraveler. One of those three.

That's because the wealthy have owned America for a long time. It's time to fight back with some civil disobedience, suffragette style. Take some inspiration from Rosa Parks and MLK Jr.

I did not say it WAS equal, I said it made progress. Civil disobedience does work.
