Some colleges have more students from the top 1% than the bottom 60. Find yours. http://nyti.ms/2ibYv13  This was one of our most popular pieces on Twitter this year.

2/2 And evidently, now, we won’t even be able to write off loan interest and college expenses if I’m reading details of this new tax bill correctly. Things just keep looking up for the middle class 🤪 #sarcasm

Interesting. If the cutoff were 5/50%, what would it look like? What about other countries like 🇬🇧 or 🇨🇦 ?

And some people still argue for caps on tuition. Capping tuition will only impact the most expensive and elite schools, whose students can easily afford it. How about providing a public online competitor to U of Phoenix? That would force it to improve quality and lower tuition

Clinton was the dumbest, silliest presidential nominee in my lifetime. Really.

Yes, of course. Been that way for a while. But, y'know, HRC objected to free state-U.-tuition paid for by taxes on wealthy & stock trades cuz she wouldn't wanna give free tuition to Trump's kid, notwithstanding that Trump would be paying for his & many other kids' tuition in tax.

1/2 60% is a huge number! Part of the problem is that college is too expensive and mid. class families earn “too much” to qualify for aid. I’m a middle class educator with 2 college age kids and we qualify for very little assistance.
