keep your garbage mentions to yourself
Um, Cheryl, not sure if you were paying attention, but the Democrats were never invited to participate.
When you see such ignorant comments, @nytimes, do you think, "we need to do better to inform the public/trump supps of the process and particulars of the bill" OR do you grab it up & amplify it's sentiments to suffice your hugely damaging both sides bullshit? Serious question.
"Participate"? Republicans have the votes without Democrats. If it's a shit bill, it's not because of Dem obstruction. It's because they chose to make it that way.
(My face ever since Election Day of 2016
Cheryl Melnyk, I regret to say: your ignorance is dangerous to the rest of us.
This is Cheryl. Cheryl is a moron. Don't be like Cheryl.
What I’m really interested in is what is my cuddly, tattooed, twin peaks loving neighborhood nazi feels about the bill. Also, does he like the new season of Curb your Enthusiasm?
It's very disappointing that there are adults that demonstrate their complete lack of understanding of the consequences of their actions in the bigger picture.
So the Republicans were forced to ram through a bill that gives the rich and big corporations a huge windfall while adding a trillion dollars to the deficit?
How do tax cuts give money to the 1%?
Especially since these tax cuts don’t cut taxes at all for the top income earners
Yes they do. They cut taxes on the lower brackets, which saves them substantial money there. They also tax many types of income as "pass-through" meaning they will pay no more than the 20% corporate tax on that income.
Could you please clarify your first point about the lower tax brackets. I don’t understand
Interesting point on net profit. Initially my reaction was ‘why would you want corporate profits to be lower’ but I don’t think that’s what you mean. So I’ll have to look into that farther
Secondly, doesn’t your concern involving marginal brackets imply that the lower brackets do in fact get a lower tax rate? So is the problem for you solely the rich aren’t paying enough taxes?
