        The same things happening to OUR Ocean's except they are rising from Glacial melt, adding fresh water losing salinity as well.

        Some parts of the lake are loaded with toxins, heavy metals etc., that would become airborne dust spreading over the urban area if the lake dries up. A number of scholarly papers have been written on the potential health consequences of such dust especially to Utah children.

        It would have been anathema to conservationists just a few years ago but the loss of water sources feeding the lake may make it necessary to sacrifice, w/ dikes, some parts of the lake to save productive wet lands & prevent the creation of a dust bowl just outside Salt Lake City.

        the only water they get is from snow melt and rain.They blocked all ways for it to get water from other sources.

        Dig a canal and fill it again.... Do it also to the Dead Sea and instead of oil put Seawater throug those pipes to refil lake Baikal. It's a win win situation because the sea level will also stay the same....
