The GOP tax bills would allow companies to bring nearly $3 trillion in profits home, at greatly reduced tax rateshttp://nyti.ms/2Afzyw1

Most companies didn't "move" money offshore, the earned it offshore. They paid taxes on the money earned to the country where it was earned. They dont want it taxed again by the US, so they leave it offshore. Bad headline @nytimes

I don't like the tax plan, but sometimes we have to do what is best for our nation. Bringing 3 trillion dollars in profits home sounds good. What will the business do with the money?

What makes you think those corporations & the greedy rich will do anything to benefit the US? Certainly, there's no evidence that they will. Trickle-Down doesn't trickle down!

I agree with you. I hate regulations, but this would be the only time I would want a government body to regulate and ensure that the money is either going to higher wages, increase human jobs or actual investment in infrastructure using private business.

Trickle down piss - "Although the break was intended to spur investment and hiring, a plethora of studies showed that companies responded by spending billions buying back their shares, lifting their stock prices, and didn’t expand their American work forces."

There will always be cheaper tax shelters. Why the hell would they bring a dime "home." Not that globally run corporations have a home to begin with.
