It all happened when he patted the Donald's head

To me it didn’t. That was Jimmy being Jimmy (I was a loyal viewer). It happened when Donald was elected. Just couldn’t watch the cute ‘n light thing anymore - not with the horror show in the White House.

Completely agree, I believe late-night television has taken on a new responsibility, and Jimmy Fallon did not want to be a part of that movement. Watching him was like pretending that the world wasn’t changing around us.

I just couldn’t watch!! It made me feel so much worse to pretend the house wasn’t on fire.

Times have changed. Jimmy Fallon is very talented but you can't do a "Jay Leno" type show with the Orange Menace in the WH. The country is much more on edge and there is a hint of anger in the air. For now, middle of the road is dead.

By not calling out trump on all his BS, these days that equals approval. It doesn’t matter if it’s not your “style” to be critical of the prez

Complicit is the word of the year according to http://dictionary.com . Happy, happy, joy, joy, just doesn't cut it anymore. Sigh...

Isn't it Fallon who refused to talk politics? I've never watched his show because the only late night host that's worth watching comes on once a week on Saturday and that's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

I used to watch Jimmy Fallon, never going to bed for the night until his monologue. Then, I discovered Stephen Colbert. He's on a higher level, comedy wise. Fallon just started seeming lame & sophomoric. His jokes aren't even relevant half the time like Stephen's are.

I’m with you on this-my switch exactly-Colbert is awesome-I laugh out loud every night and there’s not much to laugh out loud at any more!
