With a father in the last stages of MS we need to treat people with the respect to make their own desicions on their right to die peacefully.

Cheapening human life

How? Would you rather watch a relative suffer possibly for months or years? I wish this option would’ve been available to my grandmother who I watched waste away to cancer for a full year.

If it’s restricted to the terminally ill it’s a waste of time. People with unbearable suffering are the ones who need it most and they are not considered terminal

Scary. Not sure how I feel about this. I hope some get the peace they seek but it is not comfortable to think about the consequences.

This is terrible. God has not allowed you to play God. No one must have the power to terminate the life of another, no matter the underlying cause
-
But your god has allowed these people to suffer? That’s not fair in any way.
-
What's fair then ? Only endless pleasure ! and no pain. Pain is part of life. One cannot run from it. The things (pain & pleasure both) we carry with us make us who we are...ie. Human Beings
-
After I saw my grandfather suffer for months, a man who was never one to give up on anything, after seeing him lose who he was as a human being the last few months of his cancer, I would not wish that upon my worst enemy.
-
No one deserves to lose every last shred of who they are while dealing with a terminal illness. My mother is going through constant pain that will only get worse. She can’t enjoy life, and she’s only 48, so there’s potential for many more years for her.
-
I feel for you and your mom. If I'm ever in a state like she is, I hope I can afford to move to a place that allows euthanasia.
-
Thank you.
she can only go to so many doctors, you know?
