We modeled taxes for 25,000 middle-class families. Here’s how the Senate bill would affect each of them.http://nyti.ms/2hZ1dXC

The ginned up enthusiasm for this tax bill is completely disingenuous. It only significantly benefits the wealthy. The supposed several hundred dollars savings for the middle class aren't enough to change anyone's life in expensive 2017.

Of course not. That is why you have a job. The tax bill lets you keep MORE of the money you earn at said job.

They don't have to. They are lowering the amount of income they tax you on.

Temporarily, but the deficit balloons, tax breaks for mainstreet people get axed, and the only ones who benefit long term are the corporations, and their billionaires executives I suppose

Republicans are attempting to pass the bill through the process known as budget reconciliation. It allows Republicans to avoid a Democratic filibuster and pass the bill on a party-The Byrd rule stipulates that any bill cannot add to the federal deficit outside of 10 years.

What does that have to do with the tax bill screwing the lower and middle class (some short term, but everyone long term)? That's sort of the definition of a scam, don't you think? Only group garuanteed benefits in writing are super wealthy, and corps...

So it's a lottery....the lucky ones win, the unlucky ones lose, and somewhere in the confusion they get billions for the Great Wall of Stupid, and put Medicare on the chopping block.

That's about it. It's nearly impossible to even figure if you get a cut or a hike. Meantime the billionaires and corporations are laughing and laughing. Congratulations, Trump voters. You've been exposed for being completely gullible and pretty stupid.

This is shockingly accurate. I am amazed. 70% of Americans don't itemize. Tax bill nearly doubles standard from $6350 to $12,000 for singles and from $12,700 to $24,000 for married couples, which would allow 90% of Americans to take standard for lower taxes.

Sure, there's a minimal benefit for a temporary timeframe, but then everyone's taxes go back up and they will still lose out on the things that get axed in the meantime, only corporations and billionaires see the majority of the benefits, and theirs are long term
