        I believe they could if they actually cared. It would be a simple matter of checking to see if the several dozen individuals have registered firearms. I’m not actually sure what would be the course of action after that, since it was the Govt’s mistake. 😐🇺🇸

        There's no way to check that. Gun shops keep individual records, on paper. Checking who owns a particular firearm is hard enough, there's no way to check if a person owns any firearms.
