You forgot about those of us stuck in the Family Glitch, i.e. it’s cheaper to pay the penalty for my wife than it is the $12,000 a year to add her to my insurance since we don’t qualify for subsidies.

ACA is a joke and and should have been done away with a long time ago. People can not afford it unless they don’t work
-
ACA silver plan would cost $80/month but after state and local GOP meddling (blocking Medicaid expansion, etc.) it’s $300+/mo.
-
One friend just posted that her new premium is 1500 a month with 900 deductible.

So you can either pay a small fine, or pay a lot of money for health insurance you don’t need and can’t afford. That essentially is Obama care.

The reason so many are in TX is bc- On the state lvl Repubs have been doing everything they can to defund ACA, we didn’t sign up for the expansion, which led to insane price increases. Used to be 80$ a month, now it’s around 300$. Cheaper to pay the penalty

It sucks Bc Repubs defunded it. Lol A program can’t work when you don’t fund it. Kinda like how you can’t run a company without money. Not sure what’s so hard to understand about that

They're Trump supporters. Surely they'll never get sick and Trump will swoop in and save them from illness and penalties.

I guess all the other countries with better healthcare are "commies" then. You're in denial.

Yup, this... people keep missing this about how ACA passed. They keep insisting that Republicans had some huge diabolical hand in its passing, and that it couldn't be passed without their approval.

They should make the penalty TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. Then these people would have to buy insurance and it would be cheaper for everyone else

I did the first 2 years. Now penalty for me is higher than premiums would be. I have Christian Care Alternative. MediShare. ObamaCare exempt.
-
My wife was talking about that. Is it really worth it?
-
It was for me. My premium was going to $1,400/mo for Bronze plan. I pay $490/mo now with MediShare. No preventive care is covered but also they don't pay for abortions. They pay for regular service with a small copay. Check them out.https://mychristiancare.org/medi-share/

Thanks brother I will definitely do that
