This is the record of a father’s desperate attempt to save his son, as told by the texts and emails he sent http://nyti.ms/2hTQFZU pic.twitter.com/kU01t2y82I

So sad. Why aren’t players taken care of when the game they play destroys their brains. @NHL shame on you

This is one of the saddest things I've ever read, what that hockey player's father is going thru.

"At bottom, the science just has not advanced to the point where causation determinations can responsibly be made," -NHL Commisioner Gary Bettman Bettman is a POS for denying a link b/t hockey concussions and CTE. He refuses to b/c he doesn’t want to help them.

This is so sad. So much money in the NFL, NHL and they don’t spare a dime for those who’s talent got them rich and who now suffer. Managment and owners can do better. I’m so sad for this father and others that are in this situation.

So sad. The #NHL should have take responsibility for the medical condition brought on by his time on the ice. Unconscionable. They treat these guys as disposable. Always another to replace them.

I love how we take extra steps to humanize professional athletes and actors. We can't do that with the rest of society.

Jesus @NHL ... This isn't a society that wants to fix the root cause. Kids don't know what they're doing, adults do &This began when he was a kid. But I just won't watch this, or similar sports anymore. Not without adults taking real responsibility
