Because you know, women in this society are always suspicious of provoking violence towards them. Poor men. Do you think you have enough privilege yet or would you need any more laws in your favor?

Yep. Have u seen how men (incl. lawmakers) are already whining around that the real problem here is the possibility of false accusations? They WILL create laws/guidelines to punish women who speak, guaranteed, unless women organize politically to avoid it.

The article, which you did not read, lists multiple women who were charged with lying were belatedly *proven to be telling the truth* by irrefutable photo or video evidence. Your statement has no relevance to these cases.

After #MeToo and powerful men complaining about the remote possibility of being falsely accused, it is guaranteed that patriarchy lawmakers will shortly create even harsher laws to charge women for reporting sexual assault. Women need to push back harder or will end up worse off

Sorry, but the ugly truth is that sometimes alleged victims will lie. Happens more than people think. A proper and thorough investigation will uncover the truth. The problem is media gets all over it and the public casts judgement before facts are uncovered.

Why is it so hard for police to believe a claim of rape? We don’t see the same for other crimes.

Fine - but what percent are fake? Empirically it looks to be around 0.5 to 2% about equal to other crimes with the exception of homicide. So I ask again - why single out sex assault?

Police officers should absolutly follow through with any claim the victim, of any crime, made. But sure hope so, that they have not made up their minds if the accusations are true or false before doing some proper work. The cops in the article were morons.
