She was forced into prostitution and you think her pimp was going to give her the freedom to walk into a police station? She was 16 with no options! Not everyone murders because they want to, sometimes they have to😪

Her pimp was nowhere around, if anything this could've been her time to escape him instead of killing a dude and going back to her pimp. 16 yrs old deserves no life sentence, but this mans she killed didn't beat her, rape her etc. Only paid her for consensual sex.

Do you really think that sex with a child is consensual sex ? All the adults involved in that were the criminals not she !

I totally agree and she was forced into prostitution (sex trafficking) her pimp was always watching her!

I don’t want people to forget who he is and what he did, and have a “normal” life. The woman he raped will never know “normal” again.

She shouldn't have been tried as an adult. She is a victim. If she would have been white like the "affluenza teen"--Ethan Couch, she probably would have walked away a free woman.

Some of you are seriously wanting to blame her? You say she acted childishly or ask why didn’t use a different means other than to kill. I don’t know, maybe because she was a CHILD who never should’ve been FORCED into prostitution! She saved herself the only way she knew how.

It's because she doesn't deserve to be in prison. She escaped her situation by the only way she could; by fighting back. And the system punishes her with life in prison? I would've done the SAME THING!
