Is this the same guy that gave a ISIS militant former a lot of tax payer money?
-
Nope....he WAS the PM who settled a supreme court of Canada case that said we violated the rights of a child soldier who was brought to Afghanistan and injured, captured, tortured and illegally held in Guantanamo.....long before ISIS.

Bravo!

Proud to be Canadian. Love my PM @JustinTrudeau

Why apologize for things of the past we could not control And did not partake in. Key is to never repeat such hideous mistakes. Learn
-
Because apologizing means we take responsibility for the past and commit to doing better in the future (this is necessary for learning). Healing after mistakes occur begins by saying "I'm sorry". This childhood truth still stands.
-
But I did nothing wrong. Was past. PPl before me did wrong. I commit to doing what is right as part of the present and future.
-
That's a wonderful commitment! :) When I'm hurting, it helps me heal when others acknowledge my pain even if they didn't personally cause it. Eg. when someone says they are sorry that a loved one has passed away. This is part of the power of an apology: it shows care :)
