Yet, US Congress decides to keep a man in office who admittedly violated women and is accused of raping a minor child. What's wrong with this country? Cc: @SpeakerRyan #MitchMcConnellResign

Interesting juxtaposition with that of the criminal justice system. A claim must be supported by evidence, not simply an allegation. Not saying CBS didn’t do the right thing, but interesting nonetheless.

Correct. No actual proof offered. Just word of mouth by someone saying it happened 20yrs ago. But sexual assault allegations are SO hot right now.

@rachelheldevans @JonathanMerritt CBS has fired Charlie Rose. I am not hoping for scandals from the pulpit but wondering when the shoe will drop in faith circles. This is more a question of if rather than when. No doubt, we will have our own scandal. Will we act as swiftly?

The worlds of news, entertainment and politics all face this issue. This issue is not limited to any one industry or party.Evangelicals defending Moore have grabbed headlines, which is indefensible. But, we can change the narrative in how we deal with our own faith leaders.

Allegations should *NEVER* lead to summary firing. NOT EVER. Either learn to use the English language properly, @nytimes (you do know what an allegation is, right?) or stop encouraging execution without trial.

Charlie Rose is accused of sexual misconduct. The so-called "fake news" immediately fires him. Donald Trump openly brags about sexual misconduct. He is elected president. Nobody does hypocrisy better than @realDonaldTrump and his sycophants.
