It is one thing if the pastors are hesitating because they want to avoid politics. It is another thing if they are hesitating because they are uncomfortable condemning sexual assault.

By explicitly stating that they support Roy Moore, they are wading waist deep into the political scene. Church leaders should not be afraid to challenge parishioners’ beliefs if they are inconsistent with the way Christ lived. That’s what the pulpit is for.

Jesus was not hesitant to alienate anyone, especially people who hoarded riches, or were in the religious hierarchy.

This is a cop-out...as a pastor you attract who you are and if their churches are filled with people who think like Moore it's because the Pastor thinks like Moore

I dont ever understand any minister in a right-wrong quandry. The Bible is clear...stand for what's right...regardless! Roy Moore must go!!!

Jonathan Edwards would have had Roy Moore roasting in Hell. Pastors should not be in a quandary when it comes to denouncing evil.

Remember those bracelets, What Would Jesus Do? That's what those pastors need to ask themselves.

Tuff noogies, are you a church teaching the “word of GOD”, or are you a mouthpiece for the GOP? ‘Cause like Jesus said, baby you can’t be both.

If only there were some all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving entity they could get some guidance from on this. That'd be pretty neat.

I thought pastors were supposed to guide their flock. Not just tell them what they wanted to hear?

Sounds a lot like politicians in the GOP. If you cannot call out immoral acts for fear of making someone mad perhaps your faith is not as strong as you claim and you have sinned.

Well that's real "Christ-like" of them. Skip doing the right thing because your parishioners might be uncomfortable. The more I hear about evangelicals and christians in general, the more convinced I am that religion is a negative force on societies. Divisive and alienating.
