        Cash should never completely disappear! If it does our controle over who knows every detail of our lives is lost totally. It should be a human right to make purchases and movements without companies & governments tracking us.

        I think the real question isn't about the transition possibility but the transition time. The average US dollar bill is likely to live much longer than before, simply because people often have the option of using credit or debit options.--

        It already has.I tried to buy a juice in brooklyn with cash last time I was in NYC - they only took cards.Not kidding-they refused my cash.
