Well I love myself more than my 3 wives or my 4 kids (5 if you count Tiffany) - and I am fantastic!

I will never understand this type of backlash. Your children are your children forever. Your husband has a choice about whether to be there. That's the most important relationship in the house. It involves choice and requires work.

The Key to having great balanced children is definitely showing them your love for your chosen life partner and that they are on a pedestal and vice Versa.

Lost on the author, was "to whom do your loyalties lie." Outrage ensued in the absence of "I love my husband more than my children. But my responsibilitY to nurture and protect my children is priority one."

You should love your partner first and foremost. You wouldn't have children to love without them.

Why do people feel they got to police everything? If that's how she feels that's her choice, are you one of her kids?

Sad when a bedwarmer is more important then your children.

I liked the 2005 article, it is honest and real. Screw the nutty mommy brigade. My parenting experience didn't conform either and I refuse to feel guilty about it.

Loving the husband and having excellent sex life excellent, but your children are your blood and flesh, the husband 'may' get the noonday demon and find a beautiful young lady and leave. Children too will go but it is only natural.

It's an individual's choice. Nothing wrong in the sentiment
