The Daily was heartbreaking the last two days. Beautifully told story, but hard to listen to at the same time.

Yes, war sucks. We shouldn't have to engage in war. We don't WANT to be bombing people. But then we learned in the 1930s that sitting idly by while a poisonous ideology murders people relentlessly is anathema to world peace. Peace is secured by violence, sadly.

Sure, but excessive civilian deaths doesn’t help that cause, especially if the government lies about the extent

Excessive is subjective, but I agree with the gov. covering it up. We need absolute transparency on the costs of war, our own suffering, the enemies civilian suffering, etc. An informed populace is a prepared one. Sadly, we have generations of lying federal governments. :/

Stop using ISIS as an excuse. The illegal invasion and airstrikes, droning over Iraq, Afghan, Libya, Yemen, Pakistan by the war criminal US and its murderous allies began LONG BEFORE ISIS!

Because ISIS fighters hid among the population. Even supported by some civilians. It is a war zone. Unfortunately war is ugly http://business.How  many civilians were saved by driving out ISIS fighters?
