Everyone saying there is a double standard and comparing it to Roy Moore getting a pass by the right wing needs to pay attention. No one on the left is making excuses for Franken, all the comments want him to resign.

How is kissing someone during a skit rehearsal comparable to having sex with minors. To expect the same response is ludicrous. Was the skit inappropriate? Sounds like it. But sometimes an apology is actually all you need!

I hear you. But I think it is important to establish a high standard of understanding consent. What Franken is being accused of is by no means on the same level as what Moore is accused of, but as Republicans try to play the "but what about" game we need to be strict on our own.

I’m not saying we ignore the allegation. But there has to be some measurement in reaction. If allegations of more malicious behavior follow, then of course he should resign. Losing a powerful voice in the senate over one childish incident would be a horrible thing.

I doubt there was ONE "childish" incident. Highly doubt it.

And if more comes out I’ll jump on the “Resign!” Bandwagon. But not over this silly thing.

The photo does not show physical contact. Yes, it’s extremely poor taste and something I’d be upset to have happen to me (the photo), but he’s clearly miming the gesture which is quite different than saying he “groped” her. Clarity matters here.

really? why? So it's okay for Republicans to do it with minors but Franken doesn't even touch a woman and he has to resign?

who said it was ok for Republicans? Assault victims aren’t victims only when it’s politically convenient

Yep queue every righty dirtbag everywhere screaming a comedian making an idiotic inappropriate joke with witnesses present is absolutely worse than Roy Moore calling a 16 year old out of math class trying to hook up for sex in 3.......2........

Wow how disappointing. I loved Senator Franken and this is simply unacceptable, perverse behavior. WTF is wrong with these people.

Read further, not really what it sounds like and not even as real as what Moore did. I think it’s Repubs digging for dirt on anyone to move attention from Moore.

He apologized for the photo, which was in poor taste but where there was no contact. He probably won’t survive this, but I have serious doubts about accusations from a former Fox Sports employee who regularly appeared on Hannity.
