This is OUR money, NOT the governments. Why shouldn't we keep more of OUR money? More money in the hands of consumers will lead to more personal investment, less debt, greater demand for goods and services and increased jobs to meet the demand =more employment and TAX PAYERS.

There is no such this as "cost" for a tax cut. it's not a zero sum gain. CUT GOVERNMENT NOW!!!! That's a REAL Tax Cut!

@nytimes The government has never and will never create one dollar of wealth. Every dollar in the US treasury was earned by a tax payer. WHY do you think the government is more deserving of that money than those who earned it?

In Virginia, if you take the standard deduction on your Federal taxes, you must also use VA's very low standard deduction on your VA return. Unless VA's standard deduction is raised, the GOP bill includes an unintended gotcha @HouseGOP @RepTomGarrett @RepDaveBrat @RepRobertHurt

Tax- payers, we are reviewing this bill very closely; so far doesn't look very promising for the common tax-payer.
