Sad news. I get it but this will likely be the end of what could have been a vital protection for Americans.

I worked in finance industry during the crash. Deregulation is what will create the next crash. Watch “The Big Short” if you need a reminder of the banks responsibility

That's too bad. He was tasked with a job to protect consumers while the @GOP and big corporates fought and dogged him the entire way. His successor will face the same challenges.

People with principals continue to exit the government to our detriment. Cordray has championed the rights of consumers against predatory practices in for-profit schools, payday lenders, housing, credit card issuers among many other protections.

Gutted @CFPB has lost Cordray. He stood strong. Agency is vital to enforcement against predatory & illegal practices by banks & lenders. Cringe @ who Potus will replace him with! Goldman Sachs? Or maybe he'll dismantle the agency as orig. planned a la EPA? #DoddFrank

This is very bad for the country. Republicans have been trying to drive Cordray out because he's looking out for consumers as they do the bidding of Wall Street.

This will be the end of the @CFPB. Now that we have gotten rid of all those pesky regulators, 2008 redux is just around the corner, big market correction comming, advertisements for non-standard mortgages, inflated realestate values all thats missing is bogus credit default swaps

100% chance he runs for Ohio governor in a blue wave year. Pity the Republican who has to run against him.

Consumers are ROYALLY screwed hard because of this. Hard to state how screwed we are. Literally zero protection on the federal level now from corporate greed.
