I tried to have a conversation with a newspaper about how running an opinion article advocating for black kids to not be friends with white kids was racist... they didn't listen to me.

I asserted that all people are ok regardless of skin color. The racist segregationists @nytimes refused to listen.

It is okay to be who you are. We are different yet we are the same. To respect people who ask about our culture, to share, to love and to constantly learn about others. We won’t always get along but if we pass the common courtesy of ‘if you don’t have something nice to say...’

For me the problem is I’m not having conversations. The current state of this country has me skeptical of other raves especially white people. I look at them with the assumption they support trump and he’s racist ideologies making me want to steer clear

But with the proliferations of FAKE NEWS & FALSE STORIES around, we as Americans have now wondered if all these things are just an abusive on the media's part or a disguise to bring chaos!

Here’s one. No one gives a shit what race you are. Stop worrying about our differences and focus on those things we have in common. United, we can do anything. Divided, we crumble into nothing.

A challenging conversation I've had is why must my interracial family be exposed to racist articles in NYT? I explained to my white cousins that NYT is race baiting, and I still love them no matter their color.https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/11/opinion/sunday/interracial-friendship-donald-trump.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&smid=tw-nytimes&smtyp=cur …

I think it all started when certain media outlets started calling George Zimmerman a white Hispanic in order to fit him to their narrative. I've never had a serious conversation about it with anyone because it would be the equivalent of calling Obama a white African American.
