The Wing is a women-only club and co-working space. That means no men. And it's expanding.http://nyti.ms/2yS7JL1

The number of men winging about this, calling it 'hypocritical' and 'sexist' is just amazing. As though there haven't been men's only clubs/groups for fucking centuries. Get in the sea....

You're missing the point. Feminists have been seeking to eliminate men-only clubs, while favoring women-only clubs. Personally, I respect the freedom of men and women to establish clubs exclusive to their sex, but feminists do not respect the prior; only the latter.

If you actually did, you wouldn't be writing this post in the first place. So, I'm calling bullshit.

If you truly respected each gender having their own separate club, like you suggest, you'd have no reason to disagree with me. This club isn't about closing down men-only clubs, it's about allowing women their own space. &I'm calling out those who are calling this hypocritical.

        1. The validity of my opinions aren't hitched upon your approval/disapproval. 2. My argument isn't about the club, or it's aims. Different subject. My argument is that feminists have been seeking to end male-only clubs while praising female-only clubs. That, I find sexist.

So what you're saying is: you're more interested in calling feminists hypocrites than achieving gender equity

Nice job misconstruing my argument and deflecting by changing the subject. Not going to let you get away with it. Do you believe men and women should both be allowed to have clubs exclusive to their sex?

Seek to destroy men-only clubs and establish women-only clubs. So progressive! Much equality!

things like this is to far to one side imo. It's like a women's Freemason club which I think is weird in the first place. Men did this for years and it was looked at as sexist only networking and making connections with men that helped give advantage to them in the work place

Do you truly don’t understand the utility of a space for women especially after all of the allegations of the past few weeks? Really?

I get it I do but I don't think this is a solution this is sexist in its own way. Make it stricter and harsher for men who abuse women. Maybe hire third party departments that deal with SH in the work place
