Why is this so hard to prove? He was mostly a businessman with no covert channels. They should be able to easily nail the case. Why is mueller taking months???

Most of these "loans & payments" were not well conventional. They were designed to be hidden via shell co's, #ed accounts, alt payment tupes

These were by their nature often illegal loans for illegal purposes & payment methods also can be illegal, ie laundering of money.

I think Mueller is compiling overwhelming and difficult to collect evidence. Possibly waiting for additional commissions of political pymts.

For instance Everytime Trump moves against the sanctions put in place by Obama is potential evidence of his payment of a debt, hard or soft

Follow the money! The Trump family has stated on the record they had business dealings with Russia. Who knows if they were legitimate business and banks?

My guess is Trump was desperate, sold his soul to the devil by getting loans from Russian banks, investors at any cost. "Legitimate?" There's no word for that in Russian.
