An insult to dedicated and incredibly knowledgeable civil servants? WHY get rid of 1000’s of years of experience? What are Tillerson and Trump doing?

Tillerson doesn’t want the advice of seasoned professionals cuz the US is moving to an era of isolation except for a few countries. Better to quiet voices of reason. Frankly it frightens me.

This is how authoritarians operate. There are no separation or balance of powers. Trump sees himself as the State.

Since when do we buyout government employees to get them to quit. I don’t think you can get rid of years of experience and expect a good result the money and time to train staff doesn’t make sense are we trying to move backwards

Putin must be pleased with this plan if he isn't the architect of it. Reducing the ranks in the State Department so drastically necessarily reduces America's influence worldwide. Just what Russia wants.
