The decision casts doubt on a hiring model that relies on independent workers rather than full-time staffhttp://nyti.ms/2yMyiAV

Uber responds: but we wanna treat them as slaves! Uber then runs away crying.

No it didn’t. Under uk and eu law there are several categories of staff including; employees, workers and self employed agents. courts have held drivers are “workers” not employees- so more rights but less than full package. #uber

I think you mean “workers” rather than “employees”. Both are defined terms in UK law and have different meanings.

So is there a way courts in the U.S could end up applying this/using it other cases . I saw that it said it was for employees in Britian.

Is that even possible for Uber to do? Uber’s company landscape from the very beginning was hostile at the least. Employees were threatened, abused and harassed by a madman who’s moods seemed to swing like a pendulum. It’s engrained in their culture. Can that really be undone?

@UberINSupport Uber drivers in India. Are animals and the support team? They are oblivious insects crawling into oblivion. They are extremely stupid and dumb.
