Women are taught from a young age that anger is not ladylike. This need to not show anger is used against us. After the shame, humiliation and guilt of being abused, only anger leads to change.

And they demand proof, and yet even when we provide it, we are asked questions. Why were you there? How much did you drink? What were you wearing? How many people have you had sex with? Why didn't you escape? Why were you afraid to tell anyone?

Haven’t read a better description of the double bind women are almost always in. This is so true.

At age 65 I have been seething since I was a little girl. I never understood the response by so many men to my presence as something to be objectified and critiqued. Diminished and discredited, despite my successes and insights.

I have sworn off white men. I used to trust/respect people until they prove otherwise. Now, for white men, I look at them with skepticism. Their feelings are no longer more important...or really important.

After them voting for trump...and many white women too...eff them. I will not have anything deeper than a "business" relationship with them.

I understand. Totally lol I mean I have dated white men and Africans. So much to say about them both loll The way men are in general sometimes makes me just want to have a fuck buddy the rest of my life and no relationship. I can't commit to stupidity.

Come on! Being a woman doesn't excuse you from consequences of your behavior. Grow up. Stop assigning blame and intent in everyone else's actions. The world can be a tough place at times, and rising above it to triumph despite that is the reward.

What was the point, that being a woman means being a victim? Article started strong w/Hollywood pedophilia scandal, then derailed itself whining abt consequences to women's behavior and choices. Flipping off the prez when you work for a government contractor? Seriously?
