As a woman, I too am seething; Irony of ironies, I started writing a novel in September about two women who are victimized by men. Ms #Thurman and Ms West just gave me added encouragement to continue.

Why are you peddling this piece with a glam shit of Uma Thurman with a quoted remark made to look as if it’s hers? Do you not realize how manipulative that is, and how in keeping with a culture that uses female beauty as a sales tool?

Interesting. When I read that I didn’t read it as an Uma Thurman quote. (Since it doesn’t have her name, figured it was from the author)

For one, it’s my belief that Uma’s response stems partly from her Buddhist background and upbringing. This essayist/writer has misinterpreted Uma’s response in an effort to frame her piece around a recognizable face.

So is "equality" reached when no women are criticized for their words/actions and only men are? With the good comes the bad for true equality

You're right & it's very sad - I would never want my wife or daughter to ever become diminished, degraded or disrespected. I have taught my kids to stand for what they believe & for what they feel is right, for them, Taught them to fight for themselves.
