The laws were already in place to stop this bum. The system failed due to negligent incompetence, and this wasn't the only instance.

The republicans with NRA have been fighting for laws who embrace any law "the right too carry arms". The people with guns kill people. You are 4.4% of the pop of the world but you own 42 % of the handguns. take away the guns? Some of the 36000 people killed 2016 would be alive?

The US Constitution gives us the right to bear arms. Not any new laws. The guns don't decide to shoot. Culture needs to change, not laws.

Just a thought, if you tok away all the guns in Texas how many would been killed 3 days ago?if you change a law like Australia and Japan did and banned all assault weapons your kill ratio will go down. One law will probably save a lot of people.

Criminals will get assault rifles/firearms regardless. How about the two law abiding, gun toting citizens who saved lives in that church. If those two men had their guns lawfully stripped by the Democrats we would've seen even more fatality in Texas.

Let’s ask ourselves, why did he have to smuggle weapons into a base? Are there perhaps rules about guns there? Hmmm

If U.S. civilians are going to own guns then 'escaping from a mental health facility'' has to be taken 10 times more serious anywhere else.

I suppose in order for the Texas shooter to have gotten on a "no gun" list, he probably should have requested it personally. Unreal
