Something else big has happened and I can't help but think Trump is involved.

As I see it, the problem with religion is fallible beings interpreting the teachings of deities. Is that not the definition of pretzel logic
-
People worship anything, religion is a form of social control. Although many teachings bring positive life values for people

Honestly, this won't echo far, as change never has in Islam since there is zero room for interpretation or change from the Koran

"say no to the government and you get arrested" get the feeling clerics will be waiting for their moment as Islam changes for no one
-
But doesn't the sheer number of muslim branches and sects deny that lack of change/evolution?
-
To a degree, true. The Koran can't be changed and demands obedience to its text tho. And "true" followers always circle back around.
-
The Bible can't be changed either. Or many religions' texts for that matter. In fact, your latest can be said of any orthodox religion.
-
Except no other religion is constantly resorting back to aggression/ violence on the regular. So yes,ur right, but other religions dnt do this
-
Eeehh that's not exactly true.
-
Don't need to dig too deep into history to see a pattern. Violence/oppression has been a very regular part of Islam throughout history.
