Commissioner @RobManfred has no backbone. What kind of message is he sending kids that saw the game? That it’s allowed only during playoffs?

Manfred is saying Asians are expendable, money is more important than integrity and punishment is convenient. Nice role models. Disgusting.

Agree. Professional sports in this country have turn into a disgusting circus. The NFL, @StephenCurry30 incident & now @MLB. No discipline.

Baseball nor the Astros as a team did anything. Suspend him now and the team and baseball pays, he doesn’t lose a dime. Next year it’s $325k

@MLB is a joke. The suspension should had been now not in 2018. That type of behavior is totally unacceptable. Disgusting!

The reason they gave was "he don't get paid during WS", so they chose 5 games that would take away 5 paychecks.

I agree 100%. They should have suspended him for the rest of the WS plus the 5 games in 2018 season. It was just uncalled for and stupid!

Suspending #Gurriel 5 games in 2018 is worse than doing nothing. #Manfred is acknowledging #racism is bad— but #WorldSeries more important
