The MTA wants to replace the MetroCard with a new system using phones and credit cards. But what about hackers?http://nyti.ms/2zSihX7

Can the #MTA focus on making their trains run on time? Maybe invest in upgrading their ancient signal system? As prices have gone up, service has vastly diminished -fix basic service before tackling superficial updates #MTAFail #WeTheCommuters @MTA @NYGovCuomo #NewYork #trains

This is why New Yorkers hate the #MTA - they waste time/money on superficial things when they should focus on improving basic services I'll take a train that consistently runs on time over a metrocard-less point of entry any day of the week #MTAFail #NYC #subway #transit

So they are assuming everyone that rides the subway has a phone or a card. But asking people to obtain an ID to vote is just crazy racist.Smh

Speaking just for myself, i take this in consideration. The new government started with a hacker hand, so i'm against it. Equifax &tax bill.

Plus, you can lend your friend a MetroCard, but not your credit card or phone. Harder to share amongst family members.

Across the board replacement of Metrocards is ludicrous & about as shortsighted as it gets. Don't feed "The Bubble" theory #DigitalDivide

I understand modernizing an outdated system but my mom is sooo old school, like she has a flip phone. I just worry for similar people.
