CTE sucks but surely he didn’t think getting hit in the head for a career was NOT risky?

Sure, he knew it was risky, but employers have to disclose any info about the risks they have. Hiding it isn’t ok. Look up the Radium Girls.

That being said, a NASCAR owner has to tell the driver of the risks? As does a window washer? NFL players HAVE TO know by now.

The risk of falling for a window washer is obvious, but the long term effects of concussions are not. Why not inform the players anyway?

Because the NFL had only one thing in mind... and it wasn’t the long term safety of their players.

These players know the risk and how many do you see retiring? 1-2? It's called a risk to reward ratio and most take millions despite risks

By the way...this is correct. Millions of $$$. Fame. That’s the payoff Tell them all to retire now. ITS DANGEROUS. But no more “didn’t know”

Again, not saying no one will play. They take risks for $$. Just make sure players have ALL the info about risks, not just “concussions=bad”

I can’t be the only one who saw “Concussion” with Will Smith in 2015, right? It was based on a true story & it concerned just this issue.

Borland retired after just 1 year of play because of rising awareness. He was a rising star, sacrificed ALOT of money for CTE concerns

Yeah, it was a surprisingly good film. Handled the subject matter well and made it easy to understand for non-sports fans.

How can you blame it all on the NFL when they have played their whole life. Could have happened in high school or college not just the NFL.

Yeah, I guess it would be a bad Jamaican accent since Dr. Bennet Omalu (the character Will Smith plays) is Nigerian American. 😉
