        CA produces 89% of USA wine. Next largest: WA 4%, NY 3%, and OR 1% (all blue). TX is the only red state in the top 5, with only 1%.

        Anything from IL would be dismal. I lived in Adelaide, Sydney and San Fran previously- all had many top quality wineries.
