Spent some time today explaining to my rural Texas relatives why US government should be helping the people of Puerto Rico. Democrats help?
Maybe because Congress passed the Jones Act in 1917 declaring all Puerto Ricans born after April 10, 1899 to be full-fledged US citizens.
How much of PR was without power prior to the Hurricane? Why don't you also report the poor PR electrical infrastructure BF MARIA?
So your argument is that we should've been helping them sooner than now?
My argument is that the Hurricane didn't cause the 80 plus percent that is out of power. I'd help my PR friends ASAP.
That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.
No problemo!

He gave himself a 10 cuz he threw 10 rools of paper towels when he visited.
Elon Musk he's your best bet
for an entirely different reason, Americans stateside are asking that very same question
after it’s gentrified
Powerplants up, distribution/transmission network will take many months. Logistics of transporting material, and skilled labor to PR is hard
