Developmental trauma needs to be placed in the DSM but APA refuses; best to keep it us v them. Highly recommend: https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/acestudy/index.html …

Yes! I basically read the references in van der Kolk’s book for more research.

That’s not what the headline says. It says it’s the best determining factor for criminal behavior and addiction.

So you just read the headline? This is probably why you are having difficulties understanding my response. Its a good read! ✌

It’s not a matter of fault. It’s not fixed by punishment. It’s real, it’s there for many. Trauma creates lifelong issues.

Real question is why one sibling becomes a Dr. and other sibling becomes career criminal from same household exposure.

Not my area of study, but I would guess there r other factors that mediate the effects of ACEs (e.g. resilience, personality traits)

Yes, we are made up differently, why identical twins have different fingerprints.genetic makeup different. Can be reshaped, not changed.

It's fascinating why it happens that twins or other siblings can turn out so differently than each other. So interesting!
