It's hard to get your story right when they're both lying thru their teeth (Trump and Mnuchin).

Estate tax affects only super rich with estates over $5 mil. Trump says it affects ranchers, farmers, and small businesses. So, who's lying?

The estate tax is trash to begin with. You tax someone the whole time they're alive. But when they die, suddenly they family has to pay off the government to receive their relatives inheritance. It's nonsense. It's literally taxing someone for dying with money in their account.

#TheResistance: lets get this straight. Individuals tax free inheritance is $5+M, Couples are $10.5M. These are not rich, they're super-rich

Correction: it would help the super rich. It would give @realDonaldTrump and his brood of imbeciles a $1billion advantage.

"But they had lots of money". It doesn't matter. Taxation is theft to begin with, but you don't tax dead people for dying with wealth. It's just a stupid practice. Nobody would argue in favor of this if it was applied to people making less money.

I mean it's all good when they rob the rich. But if they put their hand in your pocket you'll be complaining if they take even $1. But if you are successful and have money, all the sudden you don't have rights anymore... that's BS.

It's not about weather a person "needs" all of the money. It's about the government not having the right to take someone else's money whenever they feel like it. Again, if it were lowered to taxing people with $20 in their bank account, you would be against it.

The estate tax is what, about 17% on average? If the IRS wanted $3 of someone's $20 estate, I'd be cool with that.

The ultra rich manage to dodge paying taxes their whole life. Might as well tag them for a bit when they're dead. Boo hoo for them. 😭
