If you need to rebrand an established company, bankruptcy can't be that far behind in their future. This is an obvious cry for help.

I beg to differ. They didn't reorganize anything, but created Alphabet as a holding brand to oversee all of their projects. Google search is still called Google.

I suppose, but the need for it now seems unclear. None of the brands have fared well in recent years. I'd be happier to see a shakeup in management first before trying to re-brand itself.

Coach died when it started mass producing cheaper quality products to sell in the "outlets"
-
Yep - makes any new Coach branded bag scream “living the solidly lower-to-middle-middle-class suburban dream & am $12+k in credit card debt”
-
Oh stop....they all sell in outlets.... and coach is still better even there !
-
@coach - classic designs made it a timeless investment - their leather ages like a baseball glove. That's NOT what is sold in their outlets -
That's what I got. Maybe a high class one preferred the lower crowd?

-
That one corner clearance area has the real deals on the real stuff. If you ferreted out a Coach classic, well done.

Coach should keep the old name and bring back the old designs it had 20 years ago too.

Oh no! I don’t like that new name, however, now all of our coach bags will be “classic”.
